Welcome to Spectrum Pilot Services
Spectrum Pilot Services provides comprehensive pilot services to pilots at the Rochester International Airport, including Flight Training, Air Charter, Pilot Supplies and Aircraft Maintenance, for both based and transient aircraft. Working with our partners, Signature Flight Service and North Iowa Air Service, we complete the spectrum of aviation services available in Rochester.
Created and run by pilots for pilots, Spectrum follows a unique business model, which aims to maximize Pilot Service, not Corporate profit. Our goal is to ensure the vitality and encourage the growth of General Aviation in southeastern Minnesota, northern Iowa and western Wisconsin, by providing those services that all pilots need.
Flight Training, from first Discovery Flights, through primary and instrument training, all the way to Commercial and ATP multiengine training will shortly be available in Rochester, where a large group of dedicated, highly experienced Instructors will work to meet your needs. Biennial Flight Reviews and Instrument Check Rides are available, either in your own aircraft or in one of Spectrum's planes. Aircraft maintenance will soon be provided by a highly experienced A&P with IA (Inspection Authority), providing pilots based in Rochester with the opportunity to have their aircraft inspected and annualed on the field, rather than taking it elsewhere. Easy access for both minor or major repairs is also available to transient pilots. Request aircraft maintenance here and please include aircraft type, maintenance required and time-frame requested.
Aircraft Charter, provided through an exclusive arrangement with North Iowa Air Service, is efficient, cost-effective, safe and convenient. Now available from Rochester, these flights are available "on demand" to meet your specific travel needs.
